WE INSPECTED FOR DAMAGED COMPONENTS, NONE FOUND. WE CLEARED CODES AND TEST DROVE MANY MILES, CODES DID NOT RETURN. WE CONTACTED LAND ROVER AND THEY EXPLAINED THAT IT IS COMMON FOR THE LEAK DETECTION MODULE LOCATED AT THE BACK OF THE CHARCOAL CANISTER TO FAIL AND SET THE CODE. THEY RECOMMEND TO START WITH REPLACING THIS MODULE AND RECHECK THE SYSTEM. THE FAULTY PURGE MODULE CAN ALSO CAUSE THE MISFIRE CODES AS A SYMPTOM. RECOMMEND START WITH REPLACING THIS MODULE AND RETEST SYSTEM. AFTER REPLACING THE MODULE WE TEST DROVE SEVERAL TIMES AND ADDED MORE FUEL TO TANK. NO CODES HAVE RETURNED, ENGINE DOES NOT MISFIRE. HAVE CUSTOMER REPORT BACK IF THE CEL RETURNS.

  • MANUFACTURER STATES THAT EITHER A 105 AMP OR 145 AMP ALTERNATOR WSA ORIGINALLY INSTALLED IN VEHICLE. WE MUST REMOVE ALTERNATOR AND LOOK FOR A PART NUMBER TO KNOW WHICH ALTERNATOR WAS INSTALLED. WE MIGHT BE ABLE TO INSTALL A HIGHER AMPERAGE ALTERNATOR BUT WE MIGHT FIND THAT THERE WILL BE A BELT MISALIGNMENT, THEN A NEW PULLEY WOULD HAVE TO BE INSTALLED IF POSSIBLE TO CORRECT THE ALIGNMENT. CUSTOMER DECLINED ANY FURTHER DIAGNOSIS.
  • PERFORM TRANSFER CASE FLUID SERVICE.
  • REMOVE ALL TIRES, ROTATE FRONT TO REAR, CHECK AIR PRESSURE AND TORQUE LUG NUTS. RESET TIRE SENSORS IF EQUIPPED.
  • REPLACE BATTERY.

  • WE REPLACED TWO BULBS, REPAIRED 3 BAD GROUNDS, REWIRED TRAILER PLUG TO REPAIR HI-MOUNT BRAKE LIGHT BAR.
  • WE TESTED CHARGING SYSTEM, ALTERNATOR IS CHARGING PROPERLY. WE TESTED FOR DRAW ON SYSTEM, FOUND NO DRAW. WE TESTED BATTERY AFTER WE CHARGED IT, BATTERY FAILS TEST. RECOMMEND REPLACE BATTERY AND THEN WE WILL RETEST SYSTEM. AFTER WE REPLACED BATTERY WE RECHECKED SYSTEM, ALTERNATOR GOOD, NO DRAW FOUND ON SYSTEM, BATTERY GOOD.
  • WE WERE ABLE TO CORRECT THE CROOKED BOLT BY INSTALLING A SPACER IN THE CLAMP AND RETIGHTEN. WE CHECKED ALL BOLTS AND TIGHTENED AS NEEDED.
  • WE WILL BUILD AND INSTALL CABLE AND CONNECTOR. AFTER THIS REPAIR WE FOUND NO DRAW ON TRUCK BATTERY WITH CAMPER PLUGGED IN. WE CHECKED ALL EXTERIOR LIGHTS, FOUND SEVERAL MARKER LAMPS ON CAMPER TO BE OUT. WE NOTICED THE LENSES ON THESE LAMPS ARE VERY OLD AND BRITTLE AND THEY MIGHT BREAK WHEN WE REMOVE THEM TO CHECK / REPLACE BULBS.

VEHICLE GOOD AT THIS TIME.

  • UPON INSPECTION WE FOUND THE ENGINE WILL NOT CRANK OR START. WE DID NOT FIND THE CEL ON AT THIS TIME. WE SCANNED FOR CODES, NO CODES PRESENT. WE PERFORMED CHARGING SYSTEM TEST, FOUND THE BATTERY TO HAVE 111 CCA OUT OF A POSSIBLE 575 CCA. THE BATTERY HAS A FAILED CELL AND NEEDS REPLACEMENT. THE ALTERNATOR CHARGES AT 14.73V AT IDLE AND AT 14.31V UNDER LOAD, GOOD. RECOMMEND START WITH REPLACING BATTERY THEN RETEST SYSTEM. AFTER WE REPLACED THE BATTERY WE FOUND THE CHARGING SYSTEM TO CHARGE NORMALLY AND THE BATTERY TO HOLD CHARGE NORMALLY. THE ENGINE STARTS FINE NOW.

THIS WILL CAUSE THE COMPUTER TO SEND SIGNAL TO REMOTE STARTER TO SHUT DOWN ENGINE DUE TO POSSIBILITY OF ENGINE OVERHEAT. RECOMMEND REPLACE THERMOSTAT AND THEN RETEST SYSTEM. AFTER INSTALLING THERMOSTAT WE TESTED REMOTE STARTER, FOUND THE STARTER TO WORKER PROPERLY AND DID NOT SHUT DOWN ENGINE. WE TESTED THE SYSTEM SEVERAL TIMES AFTER REPAIR AND AGAIN SEVERAL TIMES NEXT MORNING. REMOTE STARTER WORKS PROPERLY.
