  • UPON INSPECTION WE FOUND TRANSMISSION FLUID LEAKING FROM THE TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER. THE COOLER HAS FAILED SEVERELY AND HAS ALLOWED FLUID AND DEBRIS TO COLLECT BETWEEN THE INTERCOOLER AND THE RADIATOR. RECOMMEND REPLACE TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER AND PRESSURE WASH THE FLUID AND DEBRIS FORM THE SURROUNDING COMPONENTS.
  • WE EXPERIENCED THE TRANSMISSION SLIPPING IN SECOND GEAR. UPON INSPECTION WE FOUND THE FLUID TO BE IN GOOD SHAPE. A WORN OUT FRONT BAND INSIDE THE TRANSMISSION WILL CAUSE THIS PROBLEM. • REPLACE EXHAUST VALVE SPRING #8.
  • WE SCANNED FOR CODES: P0300 – random misfire detected P0308 – misfire detected cyl 8. WE CHECKED SPARK, FUEL AND COMPRESSION. WE CAN HEAR POPPING AND CLATTERING IN THE INTAKE. WE REMOVED VALVE COVER AND COULD SEE A BROKEN EXHAUST VALVE SPRING ON CYL 8. THIS IS CAUSING THE VALVE TO NOT CLOSE PROPERLY AND IS ALSO AFFECTING THE OTHER VALVES. THIS WILL CAUSE A MISFIRE. RECOMMEND START WITH REPLACING THIS SPRING AND WE WILL RECHECK VALVE FOR ANY DAMAGE. AFTER REPAIR WE FOUND THE ENGINE TO RUN 90% BETTER. BUT WE CAN FEEL A SLIGHT MISFIRE AT AN IDLE. WE PULLED SPARK PLUGS AND FOUND #3 AND #5 PLUGS FOULED. CUSTOMER STATED THAT HE WOULD LIKE TO PICK UP TRUCK AT THIS POINT AND WILL TRY TO DO HIS OWN DIAGNOSIS AND WILL RETURN THE TRUCK IF NECESSARY.
