- WE EXPERIENCED THE REMOTE STARTER STARTING THE ENGINE THEN THE ENGINE WOULD STALL. WE SCANNED PCM FOR CODES: p0128- thermostat irrationality. WE FOUND THE THERMOSTAT NOT OPENING PROPERLY. THIS WILL CAUSE THE COMPUTER TO SEND SIGNAL TO REMOTE STARTER TO SHUT DOWN ENGINE DUE TO POSSIBILITY OF ENGINE OVERHEAT. RECOMMEND REPLACE THERMOSTAT AND THEN RETEST SYSTEM. AFTER INSTALLING THERMOSTAT WE TESTED REMOTE STARTER, FOUND THE STARTER TO WORKER PROPERLY AND DID NOT SHUT DOWN ENGINE. WE TESTED THE SYSTEM SEVERAL TIMES AFTER REPAIR AND AGAIN SEVERAL TIMES NEXT MORNING. REMOTE STARTER WORKS PROPERLY.
