  • DIAGNOSE TRANSMISSION DOES NOT SHIFT. CUSTOMER WAS COMING INTO TO TOWN WHEN SUDDENLY HE FELT A HARD BANG AS IF HE WAS HIT FROM THE BACK. CUSTOMER ALSO NOTICED TRANS FLUID LEAKING.
  • UPON INSPECTION FOUND INPUT SHAFT HAD SNAPPED OFF. THIS IS AN AFTERMARKET PART. WE SPOKE WITH AFTERMARKET COMPANY AND THEY SENT A NEW SHAFT TO INSTALL. WE REMOVED AND TORE DOWN TRANSFER CASE TWICE, TO INSTALL INPUT SHAFTS AND ADAPTER PLATES THAT WERE SENT TO US FROM AFTERMARKET COMPANY. ALL PARTS THAT WERE SENT DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. WE WENT BACK WITH MODIFIED PART, CUSTOMER IS GOING TO TRY AND LIMP TRUCK HOME. CUSTOMER IS AWARE OF ALL REPAIRS MADE. FRONT DRIVESHAFT IS NOT INSTALLED WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY PART FAILURES.

  • UPON ARRIVAL WE SCANNED PCM PULLED CODE P241D-SELECTIVE CATALYST REDUCTION INDUCEMENT-FORCED ENGINE SHUT DOWN. NORMALLY THIS CODE IS ACCOMPANIED BY ANOTHER CODE. WE SUSPECT THESE OTHER CODE(S) HAVE BEEN CLEARED. WE REMOVED DEF TANK, AND EMPTIED. FILLED DEF TANK WITH KNOWN GOOD DEF FLUID, FLUID LEVEL IS ONLY READING AT 25% FULL, WE TRIED PERFORMING A RESET ON DEF TANK LEVEL – IT WILL NOT RESET AT THIS TIME. WE WERE ABLE TO GET IT OUT OF LOCK OUT MODE (REDUCED SPEED) IT WILL NOW DRIVE ANY SPEED WITH 35 MILES LEFT ON CYCLE, THEN IT WILL LOCK OUT AGAIN. CUSTOMER IS TAKING VEHICLE TO THE DEALER FOR FURTHER TESTING.
